Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein and serves as the seat of the national parliament. Located along the Rhine river, the town has a population of 5,696 residents. While it is the most internationally recognized town in the principality, it is not the largest; the neighboring town of Schaan has a larger population.
The most prominent landmark in Vaduz is Vaduz Castle, which sits atop a steep hill overlooking the town and houses the reigning prince and the princely family.
