Yerkinkala is a town located in the Atyrau Region of western Kazakhstan. It is situated approximately 2 km (1.2 mi) southwest of Atyrau, which serves as the regional capital.
The town is notable for its low elevation, sitting at an altitude of 23 m (75 ft) below sea level.
