Akkol is a town located in northern Kazakhstan. Formerly known as Alexeyevka, it serves as the administrative center of the Aqköl District within the Aqmola Region. The settlement is situated approximately 100 kilometres north of the national capital, Nur-Sultan, along the highway connecting the capital to the Burabay National Nature Park.
The town has a population of between 14,217 and 15,682 residents. The demographic makeup consists primarily of Kazakhs and Russians, with smaller minority populations of Ukrainians and Germans.
