Esik, also spelled Yesik or Issyk, is a town located in the Almaty Region of Kazakhstan. It serves as the administrative center of the Enbekshikazakh District.
The town is situated on the Issyk River at the foot of the Tian Shan mountains. Geographically, it lies approximately 53 km east of Almaty and is positioned 112 km over the mountains from Lake Issyk Kul. The population of the town is recorded between 31,254 and 34,355.
