Sawabir is a district located within the Sharq area of Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait. It specifically encompasses the sixth block of the Sharq district.
Historically, the area was home to a large plot of subsidized apartment complexes and the headquarters of the Ministry of Information. These facilities were notable for hosting many famous media personalities. Following the demolition of the Sawabir apartments in 2019, the district is currently characterized by its relative emptiness, containing primarily shops, mosques, towers, administrative buildings, and various amenities located along its edges.
