Sejong is a city located in South Korea. While it shares its name with Sejong the Great, the historical figure was the fourth monarch of the Joseon dynasty who ruled from 1418 to 1450.
Sejong the Great is widely regarded as the most significant king in Korean history. He is most notably remembered for his role in creating Hangul, which serves as the native alphabet of the Korean language.
