Cheongyang County is a predominantly rural administrative district located in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It serves as a regional hub for agriculture and education within the province.
The county is widely recognized throughout South Korea for its production of spicy Cheongyang chili peppers. In addition to these peppers, another notable local specialty of the region is the fruit of the gugija. The area also hosts the Cheongyang Provincial College.
