Boryeong, also commonly known as Daecheon, is a city located in the South Chungcheong Province of South Korea. Situated along the southwest coast of the Korean peninsula, the region is characterized by numerous small islands, many of which are accessible via ferry from Daecheon Port.
The city is primarily recognized for its beaches, most notably Daecheon Beach. It hosts an annual Boryeong Mud Festival held every July. The beach mud found in this area is widely noted for its cosmetic properties.
