Yeongju is a city located in the North Gyeongsang Province of South Korea. It covers a total area of 668.84 square kilometres (258.24 sq mi) and had a recorded population of 113,930 people according to the 2008 census.
The city is situated at the intersection of several administrative regions. It shares its borders with Bonghwa County to the east, Danyang County of North Chungcheong Province to the west, and Andong and Yecheon counties to the south. To the north, it borders Yeongwol County in Gangwon Province.
