Namyangju is a city located in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It is bordered by Gapyeong County to the east, Guri to the west, and Pocheon to the north. The region was originally part of southern Yangju-gun before being separated into Namyangju-gun in April 1980.
In 1995, Migeum-si and Namyangju-gun were merged to create an urban and rural complex. The city's administrative structure consists of 6-eup, 3-myeon, and 7-dong, with the city hall situated in Geumgok-dong and Dasan-dong.
