Hanam is a city located in the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea. It was formerly an administrative part of Gwangju County before being officially designated as a city in 1989.
The area is historically significant as it may have been the site of Hanam Wiryeseong, which is believed to be the ancient capital of the Baekje Kingdom.
