Anyang-si

South Korea

Anyang is a city located in the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea. It serves as a satellite city of Seoul, situated approximately 21 kilometers south of the capital and 19 kilometers north of Suwon. With a population of roughly 600,000 residents, it ranks as the 20th largest city in the country.

The city is connected to Seoul via Seoul Subway Line 1 and Line 4. Anyang's official motto is "Livable city, Proud citizens." Its municipal symbols include an eagle, the ginkgo tree, and the forsythia flower, while its mascot is a grape named Podong-i.
