Anseong is a city located in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, situated approximately 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of the capital, Seoul. The city promotes itself as "The City of Masters" and is recognized for its production of brassware and various arts and crafts.
The region's agricultural economy centers on the cultivation of rice, ginseng, grapes, and Asian pears. Additionally, Hanwoo is noted as the most famous and high-quality livestock produced in the area. From late spring through the fall, Anseong hosts its annual Namsadang Neuri Festival.
