Ansan is a city located in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It is situated southwest of Seoul and serves as an integral part of the Seoul Metropolitan Area. The city is connected to the capital by rail via the Seoul Subway Line 4.
Geographically, Ansan is positioned along the coast of the Yellow Sea. Its jurisdiction includes several islands, the largest and most well-known of which is Daebu Island.
