Anak is a figure mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. He is identified as a forefather of the Anakim, who are described as a Rephaite tribe in Deuteronomy 2:11.
The descendants of Anak appear in biblical narratives regarding the Israelite conquest of Canaan. According to the Book of Numbers, ten of the twelve Israelite spies associated the Anakim with the Nephilim mentioned in Genesis 6:1–4.
