Jack in the Box, Inc. is an American fast food restaurant chain founded on February 21, 1951, by Robert O. Peterson. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California.
The chain operates over 2,200 locations, primarily serving the West Coast of the United States. In addition to its primary domestic presence, restaurants are located in large urban areas outside the West Coast and in two locations in Guam. The company previously operated the Qdoba Mexican Grill chain until it was sold to Apollo Global Management in December 2017.
