Burnaby is a city located in the Lower Mainland region of British Columbia, Canada. Situated in the center of the Burrard Peninsula, it serves as a major residential and commercial hub within the metropolitan area.

The city is bordered by several other municipalities: Vancouver to the west, the District of North Vancouver to the north across the confluence of the Burrard Inlet and Indian Arm, and Port Moody and Coquitlam to the east. To the southeast, it neighbors New Westminster and Surrey across the Fraser River, while Richmond on Lulu Island lies to the southwest. As of the 2021 census, Burnaby had a population of 249,125.
