Sihanoukville, also known as Kampong Saom or Preah Sihanouk, is a coastal port city located in Cambodia. It serves as the capital of Preah Sihanouk Province and is situated at the tip of an elevated peninsula in the country's south-west region along the Gulf of Thailand.
The city features a coastline characterized by a string of beaches and coastal marshlands that border Ream National Park to the east. It is home to the Ou Trojak Jet, a navigable river lined with mangroves that runs from Otres Pagoda to the sea at Otres. Additionally, several sparsely inhabited islands under the administration of Sihanoukville are located near the city.
