Veun Sai is a district situated in Ratanakiri Province in northeast Cambodia. The town of Veun Sai serves as a central location within the district and is positioned on the Tonlé San River, approximately 38 km north of Banlung by road.
The area is characterized by its significant natural landmarks, including the headquarters of Virachey National Park located in the village and portions of Veun Sai-Siem Pang National Park. The local population consists of Khmers and various ethnic minorities, such as Kreung, Lao, and Chinese residents. Across the Tonle San River lie small villages inhabited by Lao and Chinese communities.
