Chantrea, which literally translates to "The Moon," is a district located in the Svay Rieng Province of Cambodia. The administrative area is subdivided into six communes (khum) and 49 villages (phum).
According to the 1998 census of Cambodia, the district had a recorded population of 45,439 residents.
