Kampong Seila District is an administrative district located in southwestern Cambodia. It was formerly part of Koh Kong province before being incorporated into Sihanoukville province by royal decree in January 2009.
The transition involved a land subdivision where parts of Kampong Seila and the Sre Ambel district were used to adjust the boundaries of the Sihanoukville municipality. Following this decree, officials initiated a national workshop process to complete all necessary administrative tasks for the integration. Sihanoukville province currently manages the administration of the district.
While the National Institute of Statistics of Cambodia has recognized the successful integration of the district in preliminary studies and mapping, final statistics and figures are expected to be released with the next full report.
