Kampong Leaeng is a district (srok) located in the northeastern part of Kampong Chhnang province in central Cambodia. It serves as the northernmost district within the province and shares borders with Kampong Thom province to its north and east.
The district capital is Kampong Leaeng town, which is situated approximately 4 kilometres east of the provincial capital of Kampong Chhnang. The geography of the area is characterized largely by low-lying floodplains, through which the Tonle Sap river flows in a general north-to-south direction. In the southern portion of the district, two significant mountains, Phnom Chrak Tunling and Phnom Neang Kangrei, rise to elevations exceeding 1000 metres.
