Tyup (also known as Tüp) is a large village located in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. It serves as the administrative center of the Tyup District and was originally established in 1870 under the name Preobrazhenskoye. As of 2021, the village had a population of 12,355 residents.
The settlement is situated at a significant road junction at the northeast corner of Lake Issyk Kul. It serves as a transportation hub with several key routes radiating from the town: the A363 leads west toward Anan'yevo, the route to the south connects to Karakol, and the A362 extends eastward into the Karkara valley toward Kazakhstan.
