Kochkor-Ata is a town located in Kyrgyzstan, situated northwest of the major city of Jalal-Abad. It serves as a settlement along the primary Bishkek-Osh route and is positioned approximately 3 miles from the border with Uzbekistan.
The town was established in 1952 following the discovery and exploitation of the Izbaskent oil field. It was officially granted town status in 2003, and as of 2021, its population was recorded at 17,476.
