Yatya is a city located in Kenya. It is situated within the geographic region formerly known as Rift Valley Province, which bordered Uganda before the 2013 Kenyan general election.
The surrounding province was characterized by the Kenya Rift Valley and served as one of the country's largest and most economically significant regions. Prior to the administrative changes in 2013, the area was defined by a population concentrated between the former Nairobi and Nyanza provinces, with Nakuru serving as the provincial capital.
