Uthiru is a settlement located on the northwest side of Nairobi's city centre in Kenya. The area transverses both Nairobi County and Kiambu County, situated geographically between the locations of Kikuyu and Kangemi.
The population of Uthiru is estimated to exceed 100,000 residents. It serves as a hub for several public institutions, including the University of Nairobi's Upper Kabete Campus, Kabete National Polytechnic, and AHITI Kabete. Additionally, the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) maintains its headquarters in Uthiru.
