Nyeri is a town located in the Central Highlands of Kenya. It serves as the county headquarters for Nyeri County and formerly functioned as the central administrative headquarters for the country's Central Province. The town is situated approximately 150 km north of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
The area surrounding Nyeri is characterized by its dense population and fertile land. Geographically, the town is positioned between the western slopes of Mount Kenya and the eastern base of the Nyandarua (Aberdare) Range, which constitutes part of the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley.
