Narok is the county capital of Narok County, located in the south-west region of Kenya along the Great Rift Valley. Situated west of Nairobi at an elevation of 1,827 metres, the town serves as a primary center of commerce for its surrounding area and supports the regional economy.
As of the 2019 Census, Narok had a population of approximately 117,607 people, who are predominantly Maasai. The town has experienced significant growth and development leading into 2025, characterized by a steady increase in its population size.
