Kisumu is the third-largest city in Kenya, situated in the Kisumu County region within the Lake Victoria area. Located in what was formerly known as the Nyanza Province, it serves as a significant urban center in the Lake Victoria Basin, ranking as the second-largest city in that basin after Kampala.
