Watamu is a small town situated on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya. It is located approximately 105 km north of Mombasa and about 15 km south of Malindi within Kilifi County. The town sits on a small headland positioned between Watamu Bay and the Blue Lagoon.
The primary economic activities in Watamu are tourism and fishing. As of 2020, the town had a population of approximately 30,000 residents.
