Malindi is a town located on the Indian Ocean coast of Kenya, situated on Malindi Bay at the mouth of the Galana River. It is positioned approximately 120 kilometres northeast of Mombasa and serves as the largest urban centre within the Kilifi County region.
As of the 2019 census, the population of Malindi was recorded at 119,859. The town is characterized by its coastal geography and its status as a primary hub in the county.
