Yoro is the capital city of the Yoro Department in Honduras. It serves as the municipal seat of the Yoro Municipality and has a population of approximately 101,849 people.
The city is notable for a local phenomenon known as Lluvia de Peces. According to local tradition, strong storms in the area are claimed to cause fish to fall from the sky.
