Higashiosaka is a city located in the Osaka Prefecture of Japan. As of July 1, 2023, the city had an estimated population of 486,464 residents living in 233,124 households. It covers a total area of 61.78 square kilometres (23.85 sq mi) with a population density of 7,874 persons per km2.
The city is recognized as one of the industrial cities in Japan. Additionally, Higashiosaka is known by the nickname "the rugby football town."
