Tenri is a city located in the Nara Prefecture of Japan. As of September 30, 2024, the city covers a total area of 86.42 km² (33.37 sq mi) and has an estimated population of 60,890 residents living in 29,456 households. The city maintains a population density of approximately 700 persons per km².

The city is named after Tenrikyo, a Japanese new religion. It serves as the location for the headquarters of this religious organization.
