Bunkyō is a special ward located within the Tokyo Metropolis in Japan. It serves as a primary residential and educational center situated in the middle of the metropolitan area.

The ward has a long history of hosting prominent figures, including scholars, politicians, and literati such as Natsume Sōseki, who began residing there during the Meiji period. Notable landmarks within the ward include the University of Tokyo's Hongo Campus, the Kōdōkan (the headquarters for judo), and the Tokyo Dome.
