Atsugi is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of June 1, 2021, the city had an estimated population of 223,960 and a population density of approximately 2,400 persons per square kilometer. The total area of the city covers 93.83 square kilometers.
While the name Atsugi is frequently associated with the Naval Air Facility Atsugi, the military base is not located within the city limits. Instead, the facility straddles the border between the neighboring cities of Ayase and Yamato.
