Nishinomiya is a city located in the Hyōgo Prefecture of Japan. It serves as an important commercial and shipping hub within the Kansai region and holds the third-largest population in its prefecture. As of November 1, 2022, the city had an estimated population of 484,368 residents across 218,948 households, with a total area of 99.98 square kilometres.
The city is most notably recognized as the home of Koshien Stadium. This venue serves as the home ground for the Hanshin Tigers baseball team and is the site where Japan's annual high school baseball championship is held.
