Kōriyama is a city located in the Fukushima Prefecture of Japan. It serves as a significant urban hub, designated as a core city and functioning as a primary commercial center for the surrounding prefecture.
The city covers a total area of 757.20 square kilometers (292.36 sq mi) and maintains a population density of 425 persons per km2. As of August 1, 2023, it had an estimated population of 321,938 people residing in 141,760 households. Kōriyama is recognized as the third largest conurbation in the Tōhoku region.
