Toyohashi is a city located in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan. As of December 1, 2019, the city had an estimated population of 377,453 residents living in 160,516 households, resulting in a population density of 1,400 persons per square kilometer.
The city covers a total area of 261.86 square kilometers (101.10 square miles). Historically, Toyohashi was the second-largest city in Aichi Prefecture by area until March 31, 2005, when it was surpassed by the city of Toyota following the latter's merger with six peripheral municipalities.
