Tokoname is a city located in the Aichi Prefecture of Japan. As of October 1, 2019, the city had an estimated population of 57,872 residents living in 24,872 households. It covers a total area of 55.90 square kilometres (21.58 sq mi), resulting in a population density of approximately 1,035 persons per km2.

The city is primarily notable for its historical significance in the ceramics industry. It is recognized as one of the Six Ancient Kilns of Japan, highlighting its long-standing tradition of pottery production.
