Chiryū is a city located in the central part of Aichi Prefecture in Japan. It is situated within the Nishimikawa region and covers a total area of 16.31 square kilometres (6.30 sq mi).
As of October 1, 2019, the city had an estimated population of 71,992 residents living in 32,579 households. The population density of Chiryū is approximately 4,414 persons per square kilometre.
