Aqaba

Jordan

Aqābaʾ is the only coastal city located in Jordan. It is situated in the southernmost part of the country and serves as the administrative center of the Aqaba Governorate.

The city is the largest and most populous urban area on the Gulf of Aqaba. As of 2015, it had a population of 148,398 and covers a land area of approximately 375 square kilometres (144.8 sq mi).
