Vadena is a comune, or municipality, situated in the region of South Tyrol in northern Italy. It is located approximately 10 kilometres (6 miles) southwest of the city of Bolzano.
The municipality is notable for being one of only six mainly Italian-speaking municipalities within the province of South Tyrol. This linguistic characteristic distinguishes it from many other surrounding areas in the region.
