Taio was a comune located in the Trentino province of the northern Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol. Situated approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) north of Trento, the municipality covered an area of 11.3 square kilometres (4.4 mi2).
As of December 31, 2004, Taio had a population of 2,694 residents. On January 1, 2015, the municipality was merged with Coredo, Smarano, Tres, and Vervò to form the new municipality of Predaia.
