Bolzano, also known as Bozen, is the capital city of South Tyrol, which is officially designated as the province of Bolzano/Bozen in northern Italy. It serves as a significant urban center located within the Alps.

The city has a population of 108,245 and is the largest city in South Tyrol as well as the third-largest in historical Tyrol. The surrounding greater metro area has approximately 250,000 inhabitants.
