Vernio is a comune, or municipality, located in the Province of Prato within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Florence and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) north of Prato.
The municipality has a population of 6,158 inhabitants. It serves as a residential and administrative area within the Tuscan countryside.
