Signa is a comune, or municipality, located in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is situated within the Metropolitan City of Florence and lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) to the west of the city of Florence.
The town serves as a local administrative center within its metropolitan district. Its geographic position provides it with proximity to one of Italy's major cultural and historical hubs.
