Rufina is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is located within the Metropolitan City of Florence, positioned approximately 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of the city of Florence.
The town serves as a local administrative center within its metropolitan district. As a municipality in the Tuscan countryside, it maintains a geographical proximity to one of Italy's major cultural and historical hubs.
