Pontassieve is a comune, or municipality, situated in the Metropolitan City of Florence within the Tuscany region of Italy. It is located approximately 14 kilometres (9 miles) east of the city of Florence and lies in close proximity to Fiesole.
The town is geographically defined by its position at the confluence of two major rivers: the Arno and the Sieve. This location serves as a primary geographical characteristic of the municipality.
