Piombino is a town and comune located in the province of Livorno in southern Tuscany, Italy. It has a population of approximately 35,000 inhabitants.
The municipality is situated on the border between the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Geographically, it lies in front of Elba Island and at the northern side of Maremma.
